This greatly improved battery life for me

I installed the app BetterBatteryStats to see if if I could pinpoint anything causing my battery to drain. Ran the app and under partial wakelocks, AudioOut_1 was causing a lot of wakes. Upon further research, there is a bug with the sound settings that will cause wakes and thus battery drain. Go to Settings, Sound, and make sure Touch sounds and Screen lock sound are unchecked.

This has made a significant difference for me. When the phone is asleep I now lose very little battery, whereas before the battery would steadily decrease. Found info on this at xda-developers and from the BetterBatteryStats developer. Hope it also helps some of you.

Thanks for the info. I haven't had much time to search the forums for a fix but my sounds haven't worked since I got the phone a couple of weeks ago. All other sounds work except screen lock and touch feedback. Any suggestions?
