charging issues USB/AC

new issue with my GN. Lately when i plug it in via OEM A/C charger, it charges very very slowly, and what i noticed is the first time i plug in the jack to the phone, it shows charging via USB, but when i unplug from the phone and plug it right back in, it will switch to A/C and start charging quickly. Anybody had this issue? any fix or reason?

I have an HTC Incredible 2. This has been happening to my for awhile now, but up until just recently I was able to pull the cable and plug it back in to revert to AC charging. That's no longer the case. I can't get the phone to charge as AC anymore.

Very weird no idea why that would happen all of a sudden.. I'm assuming you are stock, not unlocked running any custom roms or kernels right?

If so I'd say just do it factory reset. Backup everything you want from your sd card to you computer first obviously as factory resets from within the OS will wipe the sd. Unless anyone else has another solution of course..
