Good point. I suggest flashing the touch recovery--either in RM (with donation) or via fastboot.

I get lazy with fastboot and prefer supporting our amazing devs (like Mr. Dutta), so I suggest donating $2 and flashing it via RM

Just completed the update from IMM30B with FA02 radios to IMM76K with FC04/FC05 radios. Here's what I did:
1. Reverted back to ICL53F radios via CWM and a recent nandroid backup and rebooted (wiping cache and Dalvik cache prior)
2. Flashed EK02 radios (zip file via CWM) and rebooted
3. Checked that all went fine - it did

4. Flashed the new OTA IMM76K-from-ICL53F zip file (with the recovery folder inside the ZIP archive removed to keep CWM) and rebooted (wiping cache and Dalvik cache prior)
5. After successul reboot I'm running IMM76K with the new FC04/FC05 radios

However, I lost root and OTA RootKeeper was not able to restore it (I made SU backup prior to the whole procedure). So I booted into CWM recovery again and flashed the modified that is floating around and rebooted. This restored root for me.

So far I have no problems. It's actually quite amazing that I was able to do that without running into major issues. I just rooted my Gnex last week (long-time webOS user and first time root ever!) as I lost hope that Verizon would push out an update any time soon.

Yes it was the that leaked a while back (I think in February).

Also, Status 7 Error, like 2 def said, is recovery related. Please make sure you have an up to date recovery. Remember, the Verizon phone = toro. Use the link in the OP to find the appropriate recovery--touch or regular. The latest version of the regular CWM recovery is "" while the latest version of the touch recovery is "."

Just updated and it was super easy. Went through RM, made a backup and installed the file. Thanks to the OP.
Hopefully this update helps me keep my signal more

I also appear to have kept my root without having RootKeeper.

This thread on XDA seems to have a simple zip to flash to any setup because he pulled the patched radios from his phone after applying the OTA.

EDIT: Flashed it myself and it worked great.

I unlocked and flashed the leak 4.0.4 and I was getting the status 7 error as well. I used Wug's tool kit to go back to stock 4.0.2. I followed that up by wiping cache partition and dalvik cache. Ran clockwork and finally flashed the new 4.0.4 and it's working fine so far. .

Transfer all your files (pictures, music, ect) manually to your computer. If you are new to rooting and whatnot like I am then I suggest using Wug's tool kit since it's the easiest way to do so. You can also back up your data with it.

Wait for the OTA to hit your device. If your looking to maintain your locked non-rooted status.

Would be funny for there to be something wrong now being 4.0.4 was leaked months ago. I must say though it seems to be taking an extended amount of time to get this right

So I am not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I got the update and lost root, have tried wug's toolkit to try and root and it doesn't work. I tried su.zip and flash in cwm recovery and no luck. When I try to boot in recovery it just has a android with a red triangle. I used wug's toolkit to flash cwm and it does it but doesn't give me super user. Any ideas?

Let me look around. Another user here said they flashed a version of SU.zip for 4.0.4. You would need that to re-root.

I've read that OTA RootKeeper has been hit or miss, BTW. If you want to keep root, I suggest waiting for a "rooted" version of this--which will undoubtedly come out soon, along with 85 different roms with the merged changes--or waiting until the proper files can be updated (superuser, etc.).
