Default Easiest Way to Transfer an APK from My Nexus?

What is the easiest way to transfer an App from the Galaxy Nexus to another device?

I purchased an app for my Nexus, but allegedly it's not supported on my tablet people are out there running it fine on tablets.

So I want to move the APK over to my Transformer Prime. What app or process do you recommend?

Whenever I run into this situation I just send it via titanium backup. They have an option now where you can launch the restore backup just by clicking the file. I upload it to drive and download it with drive on the new device.

Agreed. Drop box on your device. Upload the file. Download it with drop box. On the other device.

I do the same thing when I download something on my mac and need it on the phone at some point.

OK, but I'm not rooted. And I don't have Titanium Backup Pro.

How do I upload the APK to Drive or Dropbox without rooting or buying Titanium Backup Pro?

If you're asking how to backup an app to move it, I use ES Explorer. Launch ES > AppMgr>long press the app and select backup. Haven't tried it on the nexus, but should work.

Once the app is backed up, I assume you can figure out how to actually transfer it over to another device.

I prefer FE (File Expert) free for this type of operation. I use FE to extract the APK by backing up the app which drops the APK file in /sdcard/backup_apps folder. I then use FE to also copy the file from there to my PC through WiFi to a shared folder on my windows7 PC. I then use my TF-101 and FE to browse to the shared folder with the APK in it and just click it to install from there. It's also then usable to any buddy that comes by I allow access.

I use Air Droid for this, while it's downloaded as a zip folder to my computer, it's already on my laptop ready for the drag-drop into the waiting arms of my Xoom via "my computer".

My wife has a Kindle Fire and a completely stock Droid Incredible 2. The Fire does not access Google Play, but I taught my wife how to upload an apk to Google Drive from her phone and then how to re-download the file from Google Drive to her Fire. There is a great thread on this over in the Kindle Fire forum. Although the thread is specifically for the Kindle Fire, the same concept applies to any device.

Agreed. I used this method to see if I could run the newly updated HBOGO on my TF Prime. At least Air Droid worked...

OK. I tried my default backup program AppMonster Pro to back up the app (Mass Effect Infiltrator). Then I connected it to a Windows 7 netbook and it connected via MTP. However, I was unable to find the backup folder anywhere. Supposedly it's under /sdcard but the drive shows up as "Removable Storage" under "Nexus".

So then I tried File Expert (as suggested above) and backed up. Same problem. The default backup folder was no where to be found when I browsed the folders while connected to the PC.

So then I downloaed Astro File Manager and magically I was able to see all of he backup folders when I ran Astro on the phone. Astro has a feature where you can Gmail an APK. No Drive support. But I emailed the apk to myself and then opened Gmail on the Transformer Prime and it installed and downloaed the 450MB of needed files.

The game runs insanely well. The level of detail is simply jaw-dropping. This will be my Mass Effect fix until BioWare decides to release their infamous DLC to fix the ending of ME3. Thanks for all the help!

But any idea why all folders are not visible when connecting to a PC?
