I am curious about the asu number in phone signal.
Pretty sure that a lower -dBm number is better, -90 better than -150, But what about the asu?

The asu from LTE RSRP is always 140 greater than your dbm... It's a little different for phones displaying RSSI... on those phones its something to do with powers of 2. So that means the higher the better when looking at Gnex 4g numbers for asu... I've seen as high as the mid 80's and was getting download speeds like 45 mb/sec

BTW higher is better for both dbm and asu when people say lower is better they are ignoring the negative sign on dbm

But basically asu tells you nothing different from your dbm

There are other factors like signal to noise ratio etc.
