Sanity check -- home screen previews?
I recently reverted to stock 4.0.4 on my Galaxy Nexus after running AOKP for a while. Now my Home button isn't behaving like I expect, but I'm not sure whether my expectations are wrong.
What I'm expecting is that, if I'm already on my main home screen, pressing the Home button will bring up thumbnail previews of all five home screens, so I can jump straight to the one I want. That doesn't happen now: if I'm already on the main home screen, tapping Home does nothing at all.
But I can't actually remember if that feature was part of the ICS stock launcher, or whether that was something I was getting with the Nova Launcher (included in AOKP). Does this behavior, in fact, exist in the stock ICS launcher? - 07-01-2012, 10:42 AM #2

That's not a stock feature.

Thank you! My life makes sense again. I guess this is one of the hazards of ROM flashing: being unable to remember where you saw a particular feature, and whether you should still have it.

Now I can go install Nova Launcher without worrying that there is something wrong with my phone.
