Phone is updating? But I have a JB ROM

When I just restarted my phone I got a message that "phone was updating" and went to the optimizing apps process. Then all seemed to start as normal. I am wondering whether this is the fix they were talking about, but I did not think that I would get that since I am running a jelly bean ROM.

Did it say "Android is upgrading" and it "counted down" the apps? That's the dalvik cache rebuilding.
