Re: Verizon Galaxy Nexus has AOSP support again.."experimental"
For the non-developer, it doesn't really mean anything significant. Official OTAs will still be released whenever they're released. It does mean ROMs can be easily built from source, however.
More from JBQ:
It's always been possible to create custom builds for the VZW Galaxy
Nexus (we've always distributed all the files we could), but from this
point you can expect that they'll be easier to develop and that
they'll work better in Jelly Bean than they did in Ice Cream Sandwich.Thanked by 4: - 07-09-2012, 08:10 PM #4

Man, I hope we don't have to wait too long for an OTA. This is awesome news though.

I'm distracted because I'm trying to compile it myself. Needless to say, I'm ecstatic.

Re: Verizon Galaxy Nexus has AOSP support again.."experimental"
My Galaxy Nexus just started speaking.... (about being a "real" Nexus again)
It said:
"Just when I thought I was out.... they pull me back in..."
By the way, I always have 3 in the video folder of my Galaxy Nexus.
