Default Just bought a used Galaxy Nexus, sim card? Other Qs

So bear with my ignorance as the Dinc2 I currently have was my first Android.

I purchased a used Galaxy Nexus. Booting it up intending to activate it, it says it needs a SIM card. I haven't had a SIM card for a decade, since my old days with Nextel. Will a Verizon store give me one? And with that said should I just bring the phone there for activation?

Also, I assume all my contacts and etc. will be brought over to the Nexus once I sync my gmail accounts?

Is there a way to move paid apps from my old Dinc2 to my new Galaxy Nexus?

And finally, is there anything else I should know before going into Verizon tomorrow and attempting this?

    Thanks

Go to a corporate Verizon. They will give you a sim card for free and activate the phone for you. The reason it needs a sim is because you are on 4g lte now baby! Your apps will transfer over when you log in with your Google account

Thanks. Can't wait to get to Verizon.

One app I have I got through GetJar, I am assuming that will not switch over? Anyone know a way to get it on the new phone?

I assume if you install GetJar, it'll allow you to download the app again (not quite sure how that market works, but I assume it'll remember that you had the app and will allow you to download it without paying, I'm assuming it's a paid app that you got for free with one of their deals).

Paid apps will get transferred over. You buy them for your google account, not for your phone, if that makes sense (meaning you can download them onto any Android device associated with your Google account without purchasing the app again).

Thanks a bunch. Google makes it so easy

Loving my new phone. Just would like to get it back to stock, seems it rooted with JB. So I am looking into making it OEM again. Besides that the transition has been really fluid and I am loving that I decided to upgrade.
