OK. I have done a lot of searches on the subject and no real correction.
I have had a Galaxy Nexus for 2 weeks and I have been in a non-stop battle with battery life.
For the first few days I thought the battery was just cycling or whatever (new battery), I was getting about 7 hours. After this continued I started to investigate. I noticed that "Android OS" was eating most of the battery. I would have 42 mins of screen time and the phone would be "awake" for about 4 hours. This doesn't make any sense to me. Something is waking up the phone without the screen being on. I know smartphones will do some background stuff here and there... but 4 hours of CPU time is excessive.
Here is the kicker. My wife and I got the phones the same day, she has way more apps, leaves all the services on and gets her phone to last all day (10 hours). Her battery stats look normal to me. Screen eating up the most, some apps here and there, Android OS only eating around 6%. Awake time also matches screen time for the most part on her phone.
I have tried disabling services for location. I use Wifi full time at my house. I have forced close the "phone" app and "maps" which made some difference but I do not think I should have to force apps to close.
I am at my wits end with this. Any insight would be helpful.
Attached are some pictures of my battery stats and a list of installed apps/widgets.

Also be advised that all these apps (other than Nexus pre installed) were on my old Droid X and never caused these issues.
