How will you feel if VZW Galaxy S3 & HTC get Jelly Bean first?

It now seems more likely that Verizon's Samsung Galaxy S3 and certain Verizon/HTC phones
will receive Jelly Bean OTA first. (BEFORE the VZW CDMA Galaxy Nexus)

Yes, anybody can get Jelly Bean on their VZW Galaxy Nexus right now by flashing it, but
that's not the point...

How will you feel if this really happens?

So just because Samsung or HTC announced that there phones will get it means it will occur before the easiest possible phone to give it to? Not only that, but a variant of the only phone actually running it?

I find it (1) hard to believe that would happen, but (2) indifferent, because if you want it you can get it now.

That being said, if it does happen it's not shocking--Verizon can care less about this device and have cared less for quite some time. (Just my opinion.)

Right. As if the Rezound got ICS quickly (does it even have it at all yet?) and like Samsung has a strong reputation for updating its phones.

a) i wouldn't care....i already have it so whatever

B) I have been on verizon way to long and been through so many "slow updates" that i know it will take FOREVER for those 2 devices to get JB. i think the verizon nexus will have it by September, verizon S3 will get it in December....Mark my words

on a side note, maybe we need a subforum titled "whining about timely updates even though i can follow step by step instructions to get jelly bean now"

Exactly. It's like everyone is conveniently ignoring the history of Android updates on Verizon.

Froyo went open source in June of 2010.

The Fascinate came out in September of 2010.

When did the Fascinate get Froyo? APRIL OF 2011.

There must have been some seismic shifts in the Android landscape for people to think that the GSIII will be getting Jelly Bean anytime soon.

I do not have a PayPal account anymore because PayPal banned me for using my German
bank-issued credit card. (claiming that couldn't confirm my identity)

Because flash is generally being phased out across the board, not just Android. The world (Apple) chose HTML5 and that's what everything will eventually migrate to.

Thank you for the prompt response, If I was to have Jelly Bean today and was web browsing; could I view flash videos? Is HTML5 in use today and supported by JB or is it a coming attraction? Thanks in advance.

That I do not know because I haven't had the opportunity to try. Hopefully someone will come along who has a bit more personal knowledge regarding this.
