Default Transferring Data to New Phone

    Hi Everyone

I'm about to get a replacement gnex (old one had a faulty micro-usb port and wouldn't charge) and I was wondering what is the best way to transfer data from my old phone to the new one.

If I'm correct, apps/contacts should be synced automatically thanks to google but what about photos?

Is it possible to make a nandroid, transfer it to my new gnex and just flash that?

Also, I am currently rooted and running 4.1 if that helps

    Thanks in advance

You can restore a nandroid onto your new phone but it won't give you the contents of your /sdcard back which contains photos.

Either copy the contents of your /sdcard to computer, or sync photos with Dropbox or Google+.

Your apps will be synced back but not the app data ie high scores. Use Titanium backup to restore app data. There are other solutions but this is favorite for most root users.

Thanks for the info. Seems like it would be similar to flashing a new rom. Is there a way to transfer the photos into the camera roll album?
