Screen will not turn off since the JB update on Sunday

Ever since my upgrade installed on Sunday my screen will not stay off. I swiched from a pin lock on the opening screen to the slide to unlock so I could start using Google Now.. but I hane noticed since that change that when I turn off my screen with the power button in about 5 to 8 seconds the screen comes back on and stays on the slide to unlock screen. I have it set to turn off the screen after 1 minute of non use but it just stays on constant. Do you think there is an application that is waking it up? Can an application even wake it up like that? Thoughts?

Most likely an app, yes. Lots of apps are capable of keeping the phone awake. Your guess is as good as mine as to which app, though. Probably a widget or something that is always in the background.
