Are covers for the i515 and i9250 compatible?

I have the Verizon Nexus i515. I am looking at gel covers. Can I use covers made for the i9250 with my phone? Are they the same?

I do not believe so from reading this post... but someone else might be able to clarify.

The I515 is about 1mm thicker than the i9250 but the same height and width so some cases fit. Most soft cases work for both.

I am looking at a gel case so you are saying it "might" work. Fair enough. Are the holes (cut outs) all the same though?

Why not be sure and just get a case specifically made for the GSM Galaxy Nexus? They're not hard to find.

There is one particular case with a design on it that I really like but it is for the i9250 and not my i515. I guess the only way to find out is to order one and try it knowing going in that it might not work.

Just wanted people to know that i9250 TPU cases do NOT fit well on i515 phones. The cases i bought off Ebay were supposedly for the i515 but they just dont fit over the screen like they should. This leaves the screen unprotected from scratches if you lay it on a table face down. A thicker casemate ( white and grey) case i bought fits very well.
