Re: New Rooter Seeking Advice
AOKP is cool if you like more ROM control and customizations, Bugless beast is also good too, it's basically stock but just really clean and all useless things are gone so it's nice and fast I also think it's better for battery life than AOKP, also Franco Kernel is known to give you better battery life.

Re: New Rooter Seeking Advice
My recommendation would certainly be AOKP. It's well-documented, quite stable, feature-rich, and has a very large user base. Because of this, you can get used to the custom ROM experience with the same setup that many others use day-to-day.
Give it a spin, and after that you can poke around with any of the numerous ROMs that take alternative approaches to their feature sets. Some are lean, with minimal modifications and every unnecessary component removed, while others are extravagant, with practically every feature included that the developer can think of.Represent yourself well; you never know what might happen. And try out the new Android Central app!

Re: New Rooter Seeking Advice
rootzwiki is also a good one.
Really the best thing you can do is Make a backup in CWM (nandroid) before you start flashing, this gives you a fall back just in case.
Try a bunch of ROMs; AOKP, CM10,JBsourcery and there is a couple 4.2 jellybean roms our there, but they don't have the features of the others yet.
Good Luck and Make nandroidsSent Via..Raven from Kings Landing
