ok guys I need to find an app ( preferably free that does what foxfi use to do.) it seems foxfi does not work with 4.1+ devices. my buddy needs a wifi tether app but is not willing to root. also the fatten toggle seems to not work on his device. any ideas?

I've been using FoxFi, as well, without a problem on stock 4.1. Although, I have yet to update to the newest version due to obvious reasons.

I tried to DL it and use it on my gnex and the connection would always time out. My buddy has a different device but the razor threads are pretty full of non helpful ppl. He does t want to update his os until he knows he can still tether to his nexus 7

My Bionic died a few days ago (what a piece of......that phone was) so I've been on the Gnex only a few days. One of my biggest worries was Foxfi with JB.....I was pleasantly surprised to find it worked for me. It took a little longer to connect but once it did, no problem.
