Default Nexus warmer than before 4.2.2

Does anyone else notice their phone running warmer than before the update?

    Somewhere in my phone

Yep. Phone Has Been hot Since Update And Can't Hold A Charge At All. Battery Seasons Within Minutes And Will No Longer Fully Charge.

Great. Now What? I Was Fine Until Update Yesterday.

Just updated my Galaxy Nexus yesterday. Phone much warmer. Processor running like crazy - heat. Kills battery life. Charge lasts about 1 hour. When will we get a fix? How do we report?

I've been having the same problem. I removed HD Widgets, and the problem has disappeared. Phone is smooth and battery lasts just as long again. HD Widgets updated last night, and since the update, it was unable to keep CPU time low. It looks like the update crashes constantly in the background and then reloads. Removed this morning, and all is well. If you have that, try removing and see if the system runs normally again.

I updated OTA yesterday and since then my battery is running at 104F or greater, the texts I send are delayed and the battery will last less than two hours. The call quality also stinks, every voice call is broken up. I have tried multiple batteries, resets and SIM card pull. Does any one else have any thoughts?

    Thanks

Glad to see you found a problem with HD Widgets but I'm not running it. Still have major problem. The only way I can fully charge is to turn off. It's so bad that charging while its on doesn't fully charge.

Do you have a program like OS Monitor, where you can see what is using up all the system resources?

Seems like a factory reset did the trick

I am hooked to an Exchange server from work and Exchange Services is eating my battery.

The previous update to 4.1.1 also had an issue with Exchange Services and the solution was to remove your exchange account and then add it back and the issue went away.

I am having an identical problem to this one. I just tried to clear the cache data on Exchange and reset the Exchange account but my battery check thing is still showing Exchange taking 70% of the battery resources of the phone.

Not sure what you mean by 'reset' but you need to remove your exchange account then re add it...

sent from a Nexus, nothing less will do...
