Android 4.3 Duplicate Text Messages

I have a rooted VZW Galaxy Nexus Android 4.3 Paranoid Android 3.99. I can't pin down when it started happening but I wanted to see if anyone was having the same issue. Apparently my phone is sending multiple text messages or text bombing my friends anywhere from 4 to 20 duplicates. I thought it might have something to do with group messages and if that contact was in another group message that it was sending for those as well but that isn't the case. I've been using VZW messages app I see that "sending" sometimes takes a while to change to "sent". I think that's when bad things happen. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Same issue here with a VZW Droid HD running 4.3. Did you ever find a solution?

I'm getting similar issues - Vodafone UK, running 4.3 PA 3.99....although I saw another post somewhere that ruled out the possibility of it being a ROM issue for them...

Anyone has any ideas/updates?
