SMS not sending through stock app - GV issue

I figured it out.
My phone is having an issue sending SMS through the standard messaging app while connected to any wifi. I need help from the community to try and find a fix.
What I have found is that with the GV app loaded I cannot send SMS through the stock messaging app while connected to any wifi. I uninstall the GV app and I can send SMS through the stock messaging app while connected to a wifi. So it looks like the GV app is intercepting SMS and trying to send it. I know that the 3g/4g radio is supposed to kick up and send the msg. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
Any help would be appreciated!
