Rooting the Samsung GS2

Do the guys who write the programs for the rooting process only do it for US carrier phones. The reason why I ask is that this phone has been out in the UK for months now and it would be nice if they were already working on rooting this device and coming up with the roms and kernels so when it comes to the U.S we do not have to wait long to root our phone.

Even if they have it rooted and have roms they probably wont port over to the U.S. version

I have no idea, but I'd just like to point out that you have the exact same phone setup as me lol.
