Default Call forwarding on rooted phone

My main number is forwarded almost 100% of the time to google voice. What I do not like is the reminder ring, especially when the telemarketers are making it happen. Since I am rooted is there any way to disable this? Is is software or hardware? Even turning off data, or lowering all of the volumes allows the faint single ring to happen. I kind of miss my Blackberry, as it was slow to catch the first ring or two so this was never a problem.

So does any one know of a file that could be modified or deleted to stop the reminder ring?
