yea, press the button on the S-pen and hold it on the screen. AIso you can hold the power button and home button. Also, you can swipe your hand across the screen. These are all free and don't require an app.

The easiest way I know of to take a screenshot that works on Android 4.0 and up is to simply hold the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time and wait for it to snap a shot. No apps required just boom done anywhere at anytime using regular old Android.
