Is there any way to turn off the shutter sound on the camera? Thanks for the help.

From what I recall it's illegal to have no shutter sound in some countries/possibly some states due to the possibility of up-skirt shots sorta deal. Not that you could pull that off with the Note 2, being so huge and all :P but still that's the idea I believe and not 100% on this but I believe you need root and some hackery to remove the shutter sound from just about any Android phone made in the last year or two.

When or if you root you can force it quiet... but until then you can simply lower the volume.

Just silence your phone (or vibrate) and there is no shutter sound. There is also an app that turns off the shutter, that's all it does. I'll try to find it.

Works Great!!!! You have the option of going back to the file and enabling the shutter sound as well! Btw I have the galaxy note 2 for Verizon which is what it worked with, not rooted yet either.
