Is there a way to disable bloatware and other apps? On my Maxx I long press and I can get to an option but with my Note 2 I can't seem to figure it out. Suggestions other than rooting it?

go into settings, application manager and find the app. If it can be disabled, the button should be right there at the top.

To add to what the previous reply said, make sure you uninstall updates. It won't show "Disable" until you do that.
