How to revert to pure android SMS template?
TOUCHWIZ SMS TEMPLATE RANT:
I love the pure Android ICS/JB SMS template with contact picture quotations on my former Gnex and really dislike the cartoonish bubbles in the Touchwiz version of Note II.
This is a generic image of the ICS stock SMS template: How do I get this template back? Without rooting or causing other issues.

This is the bubbles without the contact pics, which is the current Touchwiz standard that I dislike (also from the web):

Re: How to revert to pure android SMS template?
GO SMS is probably the best one...or at least has the most themes. This is the part where I'd usually say that I'm currently using Go SMS because screw TW. But honestly they gave us all sorts of themes and options. This is the first time I've ever been happy with an Android UI that wasn't stock/vanilla. So maybe check out the built in theming options as well and then if that doesn't cut it try GoSMS or Handcent.

TW also doesn't have the Pop Up window option like the stock JB MMS app. That's what I'm after. I've used Handcent and GO SMS but I really like the stock JB MMS app (with pop up window). I've found them, but not one of them so far can handle MMS without crashing. Any solutions other than Handcent or GO SMS?

Re: How to revert to pure android SMS template?
I would think you would want to disable the old sms program. Did the file just overwrite the old one for you?
At any rate you should root anyways because it's easy and fun. Chicks did guys who rooted. You may be able to help ROOT them in return (if you catch my drift).
