I used to have a S3 that when I got a text or missed call there would be a bubble ob the lock screen I could swipe to view it. On my N2 I dont see it. Did they remove it on this device or am I missing a setting?

On my lock screen I have 5 icons (one of them being the text message icon). From the lock screen I can swipe from that button upward, and it will open my text messages. Is that similar to what you're talking about on the SIII?

I never really used those notifications since I get a notification badge on the phone icon and the GoChat icon but I don't see anywhere in settings to turn the notifications in your pic on or off.

There is a feature under Motion called Quick Glance that's kinda cool. Maybe that replaced what you're looking for? I still haven't gotten the hang of what motion triggers it but it's neat and I don't remember that being on my GS3.

Instead of the circles each icon that's set on your lockscreen can be swiped away to open to their respective menus. Menu>Settings> lockscreen>lockscreen options>tap shortcuts, edit as you choose. This is better yeah?

You could swipe the Icons on the S3 too. I personally like the notifications that pop up better. I didnt care for the icons.

I want to go into the Verizon main headquarters, find the ********* who decided to REMOVE A FEATURE and ask him why. WHY do they strip features from a phone that obviously came with them prior to carrier rape. So sick of their crap.

If they held it back so they can strategically add them in an OTA all courtesy of Verizon giving us "new" features, I will crack up.

Verizon removed this on the recent jelly bean update on the GS3 as well. Not sure if I missed that but I was reading quick.

Not sure why they removed it, guess its there way of "enhancing" the experience or that's what they are claiming to do.

So they limited/removed all these nice and important feature of the phone and added in all the bloatware that I will never ever use and cant ever remove. Using up storage that I could potentially use to store something else that I paid for. On top of their ridiculously high fee. Unfortunately I cant leave them. The area I live in the only other comparable comm service is AT&T, but their service sucks in some area here.

go to setting-lock screen-lock screen option-choose any icon present (example sms,FB,caller,explorer etc)..the notification icon will show up once u receive sms or cal in the middle of your lock screen. enjoy.

That works as long as you don't have a pattern or other security feature enabled. . Besides swipe
