Anyone else having issues with the new Yahoo Mail 2.0.6 App

I have installed the new Yahoo Mail 2.0 App on my Note II three times today. I like the new UI, but there are two major bugs here.

1) Inbox doesn't update automatically. Meaning Push doesn't work. And no way to set a time interval or adjust it. Inbox at this time must be updated manually. Which sucks!

2) When new email arrives the new app doesn't notify. I have of course set the notify to sound, vibrate and show indicator. It does none of the above.

Anyone else experienced this?

Yes I did when I updated the app you need to uninstall it then reinstall it. And I have found if it doesn't update when you want then you can pull the screen down and it will update. Hope this helps you :-)

Yahoo works fine. But NFL Mobile mad Pinger won't even open for me

you need to uninstall it then reinstall it.

I have done that several times and still doesn't work as it should.

Yes, that's called a manual update. I need it to do Push update as it should.

it works fine for me

1) do you get notification about new mail?
2) do you get Push email, meaning inbox automatically updates, or do you need to manually update for new emails?

no! there are versions online you can find, but not via Yahoo Mail App.

OK. They just released a 2.0.2 version of the App that's working good. It now does Push instantly and also notifies.

I spoke too soon. The 2.0.2 worked OK initially for a few hours and now doesn't update the Inbox. Basically Push still doesn't work! What a sham!

It does not work on either of my wireless devices. I am using an SIII and N10.

I don't know who they have working at Yahoo, but you'd think with the new CEO, massive challenges from Google, FB and others they would want everything to be as perfect as possible. They aren't exactly considered hot!

I was thinking today the reason I am with Yahoo Mail Plus for 14 years now, is because back then they were the right choice, now Google maybe the right choice.

However I use Gmail and Yahoo Mail on regular basis and Yahoo Mail Plus (the paid version) got Gmail beat, with multiple accounts, disposable accounts, 100 meg per email and for me better UI. So, I am sticking with Yahoo, but the fact that they can't get their Android App together is a shame.

Currently on 2.0.2 and still no Push service.

Removed the 2.0.2 and did a clean download of 2.0.3 and still no Push. Inbox doesn't automatically update.

I am having the same issue.....worked fine on my Droid 4.....just upgraded last Saturday to Galaxy Note II and it will not work.....no push and no notifications.....ugggh!

Same exact problems. I updated, uninstalled, installed, then it updated again, uninstalled, installed and repeated that probably 5 times. And I did a hard reset with my phone too. Never got it to push.

It will be the first choice of:

Yahoo! Mail 1.4.0

I get INSTANT push with this one. When you download it and try to log on it will try to update the new one over this before you finish. Just uncheck the automatic update for yahoo mail before you download or before you download the old version again. WORKED LIKE A CHARM.

Yahoo updated the app to 2.0.4 and they also claim they took our advise and changed the notification icon to something more distinctive. I have downloaded the app twice now and even restarted my phone before downloading a second time and push still doesn't work.

no. unless you want to download from the web. there are old versions of YM App on the web. you may need to google it.

This morning I received all of my 10-15 emails from yesterday thru the notification sounds - only about 24 hrs late

me too. I didn't get the old emails, but got notification for them. but right now it notified as a new message popped. I am glad Yahoo is taking this seriously. it may have been resolved.
