Re: I never used a bluetooth headset in my life but...
I've used BT headsets since my Treo 700P. Smartphones are too flat and oddly shaped to hold with your shoulder like you do with your office or home phone.
I preferred behind the ear headsets (voyager pro) because the in the ear ones always felt like they were falling out, until the plantronics 975.
That one isn't a2dp, so I bought the plantronics m1100. It's comfortable, stays put, and loud.
It's only drawback is the 4 hour talk time. - 12-15-2012, 05:29 PM #4

Something like the LG-Wireless-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headset then, maybe?

Re: I never used a bluetooth headset in my life but...
Just purchased a Jawbone icon HD.
This thing is awesome. You hook it to your computer and change settings. It talks to you and can tell you the time and battery life. An app for your phone shows you details.
I hate these things but have to admit this one is
pretty cool

Re: I never used a bluetooth headset in my life but...
I've had horrible luck with Jabra over the years (tried one, it sucked, returned immediately). My current headset is an older Moto H720. You can find them cheap on Amazon and the sound quality is good along with great battery life. $25 I believe in retail packaging, maybe a little less with the Bulk packaging (which I usually avoid). I did have a plantronics pro HD that I used for a while until I lost it. Noise cancellation setup, was big though and not comfortable with glasses. The pro HD was also closer to $100 at the time, so I'll stick with the motos personally for now!

I usually talk on headset anyway but with the N2, it's almost a necessity. Try holding it up to your ear for more than a few minutes and you're going to have one tired arm! - 12-16-2012, 11:11 AM #11
Re: I never used a bluetooth headset in my life but...
I started using BT earpiece when I started working at an Army base. I went through several and did not want to use any of them as they were not comfortable on my ear. Someone suggested I use a plantronics and so I used a couple of those over the years. My last one was the voyager pro which I used for many months until the battery quit lasting its original 6 hours. I still have it here in the drawer, don't know why. I have replaced it with the voyager legend which has a 7 hour battery life. This also has a portable charger which you can put it in and put the thing in your pocket or purse and let it recharge. I wear my earpiece all day from the time I get dressed until I get undressed in the evenings. I even forget I have it on at times. Consider this earpiece before you make your purchase. &

I have been using BT for many years and the best I have found is Plantronics. I am eyeing the Legend as my next upgrade.

Re: I never used a bluetooth headset in my life but...
ok so i bought the HM3300 from samsung with coupon. is it all bt headsets or does this one just suck? for one the volume is way too low and way to crank it up more besides holding volume button all the way up? also the music through the headset sounds terrible. maybe return and buy one of the other ones mentioned?
thanks - 12-22-2012, 06:08 PM #19
Re: I never used a bluetooth headset in my life but...
As I mentioned in my earlier post, I have been a heavy BT user for many years and most of them are not very good IMO. Like you just experienced, volume is a major issue on a lot of them, along with clarity, range, background noise filtration, wind issues, etc. The good ones are also not cheap. The extra is worth it IMO.
Some of the high end Motorola's and Jabra's are good, but the Plantronics has worked best for me. It is the first one EVER to make it past 1 year for me. Most of the time they last me a year at the very best. My Voyager Pro+ is 18 months old and going strong. I would like to get the Legend, but it's hard to justify when mine is still working fine.Samsung Galaxy S4 - AT&T
