Default Something strange happened with foxfi today

so I opened up foxfi and was instantly prompted to install pdanet. The message said that foxfi may not work on my device any longer. It worked just fine but just threw me off a little.

Mine totally cut out yesterday, getting the "this version is no longer supported" message. I have the old 1.91.2 installer saved. I've cleared data, uninstalled, restarted, re-installed, changed hash code, and still got this message. Anyone else having this issue, or know any other work-arounds? I downloaded a root explorer to look for possible Foxfi system files which continue to allow this message. I dont understand if i clear my data/cache and totally reinstall the application, why this would continue? Foxfi was the reason i joined these forums to begin with, and everything was working fine for the last month thanks to the information i found here. Now I'm not sure what they did, but now I'm back so hopefully someone more knowledgeable on the android operating system/file system can help.

I got the same message which reads "FoxFi is now part of PdaNet+. PdaNet+ will offer you enhanced connection options since WiFi mode may not work on your phone. Please perform a free update to PdaNet+." Install PdaNet+ / Cancel. I pressed the Cancel button instead of installing PdaNet+. Should I install PdaNet+ instead??

I broke down and downloaded foxfi 1.95, with usage restrictions of course... that's why i liked 1.91.2. No usage restrictions, could use the internet as long as i wanted with no disconnect. I'm still looking for a solution to use the old version...

Why do you have usage restriction? Is it because of the free version of FoxFi? I paid the $6.97 upgrade fee for FoxFi, but I still got the message for downloading PdaNet. I'm not sure if I should or not, or if I have a choice.

I had downloaded the PdaNet+ app, and now it appears I can use my phone as a wifi hotspot using either PdaNet or FoxFi. I did notice that PdaNet created a slightly different wifi network name versus Foxfi. In other words, PdaNet+ app created FoxFi58 as my network name, whereas FoxFi app is FoxFi60. Both apps appear to work okay, just work a little differently.

I got this message as well and decided to install the new PdaNet+. Once I did, my licensed version went away and I had to buy a new license for the PdaNet+. I only had FoxFi Pro for less than a month. I believe they should have honored my previous license. Any one else have this problem?

    Thanks

You won't be charged as long as you're not drawing a red flag by using 50 GB in a day.
