Kies Does Not Work on the Verizon Note 2

After wasting a sh1t70ad of time, this is what I learned from Samsung's chat "support."

Kies Is only useful when you are having trouble with usb drivers. Besides that kies never worked with any Verizon phone since verizon wants to push their software which is pretty much garbage

Oh ok Thanks, Ive never tried using that feature ,,, I just use it to connect to the phone from my PC,

Kies should be usable to sync contacts between phone and Outlook.

How have you even managed to load Kies (as opposed to Kies Air) on this phone?

Verizon has blocked this because they want you to use their software so even if you can install it on to your phone you can't use is it.

Although I think clean rom has this option if you are willing to unlock

Install Kies 3. After a while it will let you know that the connection failed. Leave the device connected and go to the menu bar and select tools, reinstall device drivers. It will reinstall and it should work fine from there.

Kies not having updates for Verizon phones, is 100% not Kies, but Verizon. AT&T disallowed an update via Kies this past time.
