Left handed typers on the Note 2

I use the thumb keyboard. I am left handed. I type holding the Note2 in my right hand.type with my left hand thumb. Flap on the case is not tucked back. I have been told by a right handed person this can only be done in landscape. He thinks it can't be done. This is crazy nuts. Phone is upright and I type with flap hanging. Even says the volume rocker is in the way. Oye vey! I am a woman with small hands. Doesn't matter! Any other leftys out there in AC land. Lol? I can't take a pic while I am typing. My hands are small.
I guess being a man he must know everything. Lol
