Turn off 4glte

On my razr naxx you could download an app (htc 4glte on/off) and set your phone to run 3g only. That app doesn't work on my note2. My problem is my area is just now getting 4glte and its barely a bar.. where as 3g is strong. Id rather have a good 3g connection until the finish whatever they are doing in my area instead of 4glte that takes forever to grab a connection. Does the note2 have the "secret code" to get to the network menu and set it to only run 3g?

Settings->More Settings->Mobile Networks->Network Mode->GSM/UMTS

That didnt work. Oh well.. thanx. Just wish I could shut 4glte off until its stronger in my area.. hopefully won't be long

download the app "phone info" you can set the mobile network to cdma only

The app straight from Google play doesn't work anymore. You can still side load the old apk, worked fine for me

That seems to have worked. Thanks a lot!! I was getting rather upset w my phone hooking up to 4glte but not being abke to open anything half the time.. 3g is plenty fast for me until the 4glte signal gets better in my area.
