So went into a Note 2 last night and on PC I have conversation view off and on previous Note 2 it looked the same. Today my Note 2 is showing everything in conversation view did Google change something?

I'm not aware of Google having given us that option on the mobile side (yet). Hopefully they will. The net is full of threads from people asking to be able to turn off conversation view on android.
In the mean time, a lot of people use a different mail app. I am using k-9.
I did have my gmail set up for a while with the stock email app and set up as an exchange account which worked pretty well but it did lack the ability to mark mail as spam, so thats why I went back to k-9.
