I really like the stock keyboard but without auto corrections it isn't good enough. I was using Swiftkey flow but I have recently gone back to straight Swiftkey. The auto correct makes me much faster.
Problem is, you can't pull out the spen and write if you don't use the stock keyboard.

I like the stock keyboard strictly for the dedicated number row.

I'm a stock keyboard user - the driving factors for me (like others) are the number row and the S-Pen handling. When I'm typing, I generally use the flow feature, so the lack of auto-correct doesn't bug me much there. I *would* like to see it auto-correct when I'm using the pen, though.
Stock keyboard > swift key, although close.

I prefer Swiftkey over ANY keyboard. :D
im using Kii. its the only free one i could find that had auto correct. most other keyboards only offer a free trial
I use Kii, it works better and you can resize the keyboard for one hand operation. It does not work with s Pen writing messages out, just have to change input Method.

SwiftKey is a great keyboard. There are two really good ones out there as 3rd parties that (IMO) stand above the rest. The second being Thumb Keyboard. The thing about SwiftKey is you can't beat their prediction and the correction abilities. It's just that way and there is no wiggle room/argument there... and it's really fun to just spam the next predicted word and see what comes out of it... you really get some weird stuff going on. But, there isn't nearly any comparing to the ability to customize layout and the look of Thumb Keyboard. So, really it comes down to can you find one of SwiftKey's predefined layouts to be your look and go with its power or do you need to have the look over it which just adds a ton to how much fun it is to type because it looks cool.
And, as for stock keyboards... the problem with that (IMO - again) is that if you are moving phones, odds are you may even be moving phone companies. Go from Samsung to Moto to LG and blah blah... Each company has their own stuff, and then Verizon throws their twists into it... whatever... in the end, when I pick up a new phone, I like to be able to go in and make the thing I do most (type) be the same with that phone.
I use SwiftKey 4 with Flow enabled and I don't always flow. I am going to go download Thumb Keyboard right now and goof around with it until I fall asleep tonight I think.
I prefer the stock keyboard because of the number row.
I don't use the stock keyboard anymore...I use Keymonk. It allows for two thumb operation and is awesome to use especially in landscape mode.
I wish the stock keyboard had auto correct. It blows my mind that this phone has a million ridiculous features yet it lacks auto correct... I seriously don't understand it. SwiftKey 3 for me.

Swift key for me . . love that prediction engine.

I love both but now using swift key flow. It's fast and I don't use the pen for keyboard purposes so it's the best for me.
I'll check out the thumb keyboard...

Sometimes auto correct can be a pain. I just asked someone if they can come pick up their dad's when I typed Dvd's. Her dad died last year...
I'm with the majority here. No auto-correct is the only reason I don't use the stock keyboard. While I miss the ability to pull out the S Pen and write, I just can't function without auto-correct. I tried flow for a bit, but I'm still faster at typing with auto-correct.
Auto-correct only helps so much when someone doesn't proof read after finished typing. :)Quote:

I dig the stock keyboard. I have 3 third party keyboards and no longer use any of them.Quote:

Not at all. I am relatively a good speller. I usually proofread too.Quote:
