Phone is messed up

I un-rooted my phone to 100% stock to get the Verizon OTA 4.1 update. The phone became extremely buggy. I tried to do the process again but I got a "fail" in Odin.

Now when I try to start the phone I get a yellow triangle that says "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again"

What can I do to get a working phone?

It doesn't connect to kies. It's the VERIZON g'note II

Are you using the Root66_VZW_stock_system.7z file from this thread?

If so, did you unzip it with 7zip?

Amazing! I extracted it with WinRar and it wasn't working. 7Zip did the trick!

What steps should I take to install a custom rom (like MeanBean or something).

Awesome! Glad it's working again. Not sure on custom ROMs as I don't use them. Someone else may chime in on it. The most I can do is point you to the root/ROM section of the forum.

Glad you figured it out. You could have flashed Clean Rom SE 3.1. It's based on Verizon's 4.1.2 update. Would have saved you some time & aggravation.
