Firmware issue.. Locked out of phone.

I am getting this message when I try to put the stock software back on my phone. I get the (firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again). I tried using videos from youtube about rooting Samsung galaxy note 2. The file that I tried using was cwm-root-note2.tar.md5.

I also can not get the phone to boot into recovery mode with this screen. Everytime I try to boot recovery mode it brings me to the error message above. When I try to use CI605_I605VRLJB_I605VRALJB_CL414933_HWID04_HW_Rev0406_low_ship_user.tar.md5 to install back to stock it fails. Please help and provide step by step instructions if possible.
