Block an app from being updated?

Sorry if this has been asked but I am looking to block the latest update to Google Maps, guess the update eliminates the Navigation Icon which blows. I've uninstalled the update and got my Icon back, and block the auto update. Anything else I can do to make it stick with this version?

I can always uninstall updates if it happens to update, just thought I'd ask.

As long as you have auto updated disabled under the market\play store settings you should be good to go.

Omg I went to use Google maps today and it took me forever to figure out how to get it to navigate! Why on earth did they do that? That's a lousy update!
