I use my Note 2 in a car dock and find it makes more sense to keep it in landscape for various reasons. Unfortunately, neither the home screen nor the dialer/phone work in landscape. This can be fixed using the very handy Ultimate Rotation Control. https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate&token=wrom8ZUC

It has a small problem though. When in a call and needing access to the keypad, they are blocked by the buttons for adding a call, hang up etc. This can be fixed by going to the dialer itself while still in portrait, hitting the menu key and choosing one handed dialing. You will lose your contact picture while in a call but it reformats the screen to force the keypad to one side and the buttons to the other giving you a fully functioning phone again. I would think this would work on any phone using the touchwiz dialer. No Samsung employees where injured while figuring out how to fix this frustrating problem......
