This is my first post to this forum, and a 1st time user of a smartphone (GN2) bought Nov 2013.

Was attempting to defer the OTA software update from Verizon that is currently nagging me as of 1/8/14 by pushing the deferral date in the 'Software Update" area of the tools menu out as far as I can. Oddly though, if I click the arrows up to move the date to January 8, 2039 the phone translates this to "Wed, Dec 3, 1902" in the small text above the jumbo date. Further moving the year upwards continues the advance from 1902 (i.e...1902, 1903, 1904..etc.). Apparently, the furthest I can go out is the year 2100 which the phone translates as Thu, Dec 3, 1925. Thoughts anyone?

The main thought I'm thinking is that it doesn't make sense that 2039=1902 and 2100=1925

Why are you trying to defer it until eternity? What are you fearing from the update, mine went fine except for the Foxfi issue which has been resolved.
