Note 2 just about dead... backup apps?

Hey guys,

I believe my Note II has let me know it's on its way out (charge the battery randomly, have already tried different cords, different power adapters, etc.)

I'm currently using a ZeroLemon that fortunately was charged up, so I've got about 2 days of battery if I limp the phone along.

My phone will not connect to my laptop, which is needed for Helium to do whatever it needs to do with the Windows-based app so I could backup my apps and their app data in their entirety.

Does anyone have a rock-solid backup app that doesn't need computer-linked approval?

I'm **trying** to make this transition between phones very seamless, I have a 2-month-old that requires a large percentage of my attention, leaving very little time to re-customize all my apps and their settings.

I am NOT rooted, running the Verizon-backed 4.4.2 version.

I'll take any app at this point, even if it is paid.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the phone on other computers?
Wonder if an otg cable and usb thumb drive could be a work around

It's working on and off since the posting... It's extremely flaky, sometimes will be plugged in for minutes before recognizing.

I have 3 Samsung smartphones and a Galaxy Tab, all with the same chargers and cables. I've tried every single one, including third-party chargers (NewTrent, for example). I've even used the Blackberry cables, since I still had one or two of those hanging around.

Car chargers have been about the same on luck... sometimes it'll charge, sometimes it won't. I've continually sprayed canned air into the charging port of the phone in case one of the contacts has become covered with dirt or lint.

I'll hopefully limp along until my upgrade is due with VZW, which is in about a month, when I can finally get the Note 4.
