Is that right after it checks the md5? That's pretty early in the process so it may be possible to just unplug, pull the battery and try again in Download mode.

This is the script. I have tried a few times now and no success. I even re-downloaded the file.

Crazy question but did you hit Start? I just tried it and that's exactly what it showed when I added the tar.md5 to the pda field.

OMG, I just wasted an hour and a half with this... I must have downloaded so many different versions of drivers. I even booted up my XP virtual machine just in case it was a Windows 8 problem. I feel so stupid.

The funny thing is, I've been using Odin to flash my Galaxy S II and S III and I can't believe I did this

I probably flashed galaxy s2 via Odin more than 30 times and yet I just did this on a GS4. Lol
At first, I paniced and googled then got here. looool

From the script results that you provided it looks like Odin ran to completion. Did your phone reboot as listed in step 12 of that article? If it did you can exit from Odin and disconnect the phone from the computer and continue with the remaining steps (wipe cache and Factory Reset).

Why aren't you using a later version of Odin? 3.07...

I'm not sure why you're encountering failures; what ROM is that (4.3 stock; 4.3 rooted; other)?

Welcome to the forums!

Are you getting an error when Odin tries to write the firmware?
What version of firmware was on the phone before this problem started?
Did the problem occur during an OTA?
What firmware are you trying to load (please provide a link)?
