Lol yeah this convo should probably be in the beans thread I made but this isn't xda so who cares. That is the difference on this forum we are willing to help and there can never be too many questions whereas on xda everyone jumps down your throat!

Yeah... I need to install Beans with stock kernal immediately. Do we have any idea why battery life would be so good with this combo? I've read that leankernal can be great for battery life, but what is Beans v5 doing that others arent?

I think a lot has to do with the fact that it isn't an aosp ROM. I believe it is based off touch wiz. Lean kernel works great with aosp not sure why the difference with this ROM. I've heard they don't work well together

We are talking about the stock kernel for beans build 5 so you would have to look in that thread. Sorry we sort of got off topic

Oh, I was confused about which thread you were talking about.
Are you using the stock kernel for beans build 5 and CM10 and it's giving you great battery life?
If so, that's what I am after! Thanks!

It looks like he's also hosting here: Samsung Galaxy S 3 BeansTown106 | Android File Host

However I'm not sure if it's VZW. Is Beans VZW only?

No. But those files are vzw. So you're OK to use it.

I found it here: Everything Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus - The SuperUser's Guide

Although, I'd prefer to use the one Nate posted (that is now over bandwidth)
