Default Newb to Samsung: May have killed my S3

Well I was trying to flash the Verizon root and in the middle of it my faulty USB cable disconnected. One of the pins was bent so any movement of the USB cable caused it to disconnect. I then got a new cable and flashed the stock VZW file hoping it worked like an SBF file for the Droid X"s, however I'm stuck at the Verizon boot animation. I know if this happened with the Droid X all you had to do was boot into stock recovery and clear data but I don't know how to do that.

Is anyone willing to give some helpful advice? I feel bad asking as I know how much everyone hates helping out people who mess up their own devices.

As I thought, I had to wipe the data/cache in recovery. I just didn't know how to get there on the S3. To get into it, hold down the Vol + and Home buttons then the power button. Hold all three until it says it's booting recovery in the upper left hand corner.

    Thanks to Invisiblek again.

Glad to hear you got it worked out. It would have sucked if it would have been bricked.

Don't hesitate to ask. There arent many contributors within this community that would burn you up for a simple question. We all start somewhere. Its all about paying it forward. I don't have an S3 as of yet but you did teach me something about getting the device into stock recovery. Thanks!

Bounced off of my JellyBelly into your eye.
