Default Having to force 4g since rooting

My phone had 4g service and it worked just fine until I rooted recently. Now it never goes into 4g unless I force it by shutting down 3g and evdo. When I do that I generally have 2 to 3 bars of 4g service but when I turn 3g back on it drops the 4g in favor or 3g. Any thoughts?

I would try flashing a new ROM. I had that problem on one of the early builds of a certain ROM (don't remember which), and as soon as I flashed a different one it fixed the issue for me. Make sure you have the correct custom recovery installed as well as an unlocked bootloader if the ROM requires it, (most of them do). If you have questions just ask but most of the info can be found in this forum up above in the stickies posts.

Which method did you use to root?

FYI -- the signal bars do not necessarily = "4G" signal strength.

The no Odin method. Also just realized that I have no ability to make calls or text when I force 4G even though I have great data speed.
