Trouble with rooting after updating to 4.1.2
So I did the OTA when it came through the other day. This evening I went to root my S3 and everything seemed to go just fine but after reboot I keep getting messages saying "unfortunately the process android.process.acore" keeps popping up and cant do anything on the phone. After I hit ok it just pops back up over and over. What do I need to do in this situation?

Have you done a Factory Reset since getting the 4.1.2 update?
Which root method did you follow?

No I hadn't done a factory reset. I did a battery pull when I kept getting the error messages and when it restarted it was back to 4.1.1 again for some strange reason...not really sure how that happened. I then re-downloaded the 4.1.2 update again. I haven't tried to root again yet. I used the same method as when I originally rooted my S3, sorry don't remember where I had got it from. I downloaded the necessary files and used ODIN. Could it have possibly been that I had the wrong files?

The boot chain might have been changed, you might want to see if there is updated files for the root method you used.

Here's a good method for rooting that I used for 4.1.1 and 4.1.2, with lots of links and instructions, worked for me. This includes straightening out boot issues, etc.:
