google maps locks on to my postiion but navigation doesnt work it just searches for gps, i flashed a different rom and still the same problem. thanks

You could try GPS Test Plus: (there's also a free version). Go in and clear the satellite database and then update it:

thanks for answering but it didnt work. i just flashed synergy rom and in the Aaroma instalelr is gmaps so flashing gapps wont do anything. doesnt make sense why it doesnt work

I downloaded the gapps package from the goo manager, then install it on top of what you have. I fixed a problem with maps this way also.
