Hello all,
I have this situation with my Galaxy S 3 with Verizon as my provider. I upgraded and rooted my phone some time back before jelly bean was available for it, and its been working great ever since. Well now Verizon has got an OTA upgrade to JB and it keeps trying to push to my phone. If I try and use it i\the upgrade starts and then the little android guys falls over and all I can do is reboot back to my current Jelly bean setup. So here the thing I have to keep deferring this upgrade which comes in about every three days. Is there anyway to stop this OTA push to my phone? Or do I have to take the phone back to stock and let it upgrade to JB. Or What????? Any help here will be great. and if I have to get it back to stock can I get good step by step directions.

Thanks

Tony

You could put on a custom rom and you wouldn't get any ota messages.

You can either trick it into not pestering you to upgrade any more using the method Dog5000 linked to, or else just flash to stock and let it upgrade, then re-root. That's what I did.

Flash Synergy r443. Its a nice rom that has the stock feel with some note2/premium suite features.
