For people switching from the Galaxy Nexus, are you planning to just take out the sim from the Nexus and putting it into the GS3? When I preordered, it automatically had the sim card checked but from what I can tell, I think the sim card from the Nexus should fit?

Wondering if this will in any way affect my unlimited data plan or if using a new sim card is the safer choice.

Should b same as long as its the micro Sims. As for changing or keeping it should stay with what your plan is when u activate the new phone.

Verizon rep told me they are the same. But I ordered the new one anyways...

I'm wondering if activating the new sim card is what triggers the contract term. Forgetting about the continuation of unlimited data, which I'm assuming we will all get if we pre-ordered, if I just pop in the old sim card, when does the new contract term begin.

Sim doesn't affect contract or its features. Just a way for phone to register to vzw services
