Anybody "renting" a new phone before the S3???
I have done this in the past.... but not for this phone.
What I mean by "rent"... did you get a new phone in the past week knowing you would return/swap it for the S3?? The "rent" would be the $30 dollar restock/swap fee.
What phone are you "renting" purposely or tempted to return for the S3?? - 07-02-2012, 10:07 PM #2

Nope. Just waiting semi-patiently for the S3 to arrive

Re: Anybody "renting" a new phone before the S3???
I'm sort of doing that. I did the upgrade before June 28th, since my upgrade was July 3rd (UGH) at Best Buy. The rep there said if I did that and then did an equipment swap before 30 days, I'd get to keep the plan I was on (read - unlimited data). I wanted to try out a Nexus, but they were out at the time. So he got me a Motorola Razr MAXX. Pretty sweet phone actually. If I weren't drooling for the S3, I'd not mind keeping this phone if I had to.

Just remember this might not work if you purchased from Verizon and not somewhere like Best Buy unless the training material has been changed.
Within the 14 day return/exchange period, there are specific guidelines
when working with customers who previously had an Unlimited Data
Feature.
- Exchange = customers can’t go back to UNL feature (BAU, do the
exchange in agent/retailer point of sale)
- Return = customers can go back on UNL (return the device BAU,
then call COOS to reset eligibility and add the UNL feature) - 07-03-2012, 01:17 PM #9
