My WiFi is much faster than 4g. Of course Korea has arguably the fastest internet in the world.

Is video call feature popular in America? It might explain why uploading is so much faster on lte in Korea than downloading.

Simply swipe your palm across the screen.

I hit ~50 Mbps downstream on 4G at two different intersections 15 and 20 miles north of Cincy. The radio definitely has no problems in strong coverage areas. Too bad my house is relatively well-insulated: I usually get around 8 Mbps in the best reception areas, which is a little worse than my Rezound but far better than the Nexus I had.

As a background, I never got over 30mbps on my tb. At this particular location and similar time of day on my Rez I probably saw about ~45mbps max. On my gs3, I got 59mbps

71 is pretty impressive! You can't really compare different phones unless they are at the same location and time though.it is best to have them side by side, but that isn't always possible

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure this particular thread is discussing 4g speeds, not the galaxy s3. If I thought the discussion was specifically galaxy s3 related I'd shut up.

I've had very mixed results. Better results were at home in suburban NJ. The not so good results were in midtown Manhattan.

I think my DROID 4 was better.

That said, I think the Speedtest app is wrong, to the point of being almost a random number generator.

I also use the FCC's speed test app, and the numbers with this app are always worse, considerably worse.

I've been all over the place. I noticed out yesterday that I had 4 bars so I ran it and got my best number yet. The pathetic numbers on here are from the weekend when I was having some strange issue connecting to LTE.

My speeds in the Minneapolis, MN area are terrible (<2 mbps down, <1.5 up), which is surprising because my Thunderbolt was darn nice (typically 15-25 down, at least 5 up). Anyone else in the Twins Cities have better results with their S3?

Finally got a decent test result; 32MBps down / 10MBps up.
That being said, I was driving on interstate, and could literally see the Verizon logo on the tower while testing. I'm guessing that's about as fast as I'm going to get!

Check the thread title, "anyone test their 4g speeds on the s3." Seems specific to the s3 to me.

Display your result in mbps instead of kbps. Your result is actually 68mbps.
Still not bad.
